His Excellency Dr. Hamdan Muslim Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent, affirmed that Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, may God have mercy on him, built the UAE on the concept of charitable work and institutions, this is why he nicknamed "Zayed Al Khair", and that his sons and every Emirati follow his approach and morals, adding, "We have not lost Sheikh Zayed except his body. The people of the Emirates look at the world with respect and appreciation and hope to achieve peace for all of humanity".

This came in a virtual lecture organized by the Albanian Islamic Sheikhdom in cooperation with the World Communities Council under the title (Role of Charitable Institutions in Promoting Community Peace), on Thursday August 27 2020, via Zoom app and the Council's social media pages, in which spoke Dr. Hamdan Muslim Al Mazrouei, Sheikh Bujar Spahiu, President of the Islamic Sheikhdom in the Republic of Albania, Dr. Ferdinand Jana, President of Badr University in Albania, and Dr. Mohamed Bechari, Secretary General of The World Communities Council, among group of scholars and participants from different countries.

In his speech, Dr. Hamdan Muslim Al Mazrouei explained that good brings us good, security, safety and stability because charitable work spreads science, knowledge, and culture as well as the optimal use of resources, and thus we reach a cohesive, civilized, stable and cooperative society, stressing that charitable institutions must work according to the laws of the country that operate within.

Sheikh Bujar Spahiu, President of the Islamic Sheikhdom in the Republic of Albania, saluted all charitable institutions that help all the needy in the world, stressing that the Emirates Red Crescent Foundation has been helping everyone without exception for four decades. So it is the best ambassador for the UAE, which made the tolerance its title, helping humanity its goal. He is stressing that the UAE’s giving reached every place and included every country, city and village.

Dr. Ferdinand Jana, President of Badr University in the Republic of Albania, saluted all efforts that seek safety and stability and achieve peace for all mankind, stressing that peace is a great demand, and charitable work is a great tool. He is thanking the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Red Crescent, hoping that this conference will be fruitful for cooperation and promoting community peace.

Dr. Mohamed Bechari, Secretary-General of The World Communities Council, said that the Emirates Red Crescent Foundation is known for its great accomplishments, and it is a model to help people suffering from pandemics and disasters.
